Since its establishment in 1996, the Korea Railroad Research Institute (KRRI) has been a leading research organization focused on practical innovation for the national rail network, including high-speed and urban transit systems. Leveraging its world-class expertise, KRRI developed the HEMU-430, a breakthrough that recently culminated in the successful deployment of the KTX-Cheongryong. Currently, KRRI is spearheading the development of next-generation technologies such as the Hypertube and AI-driven smart mobility, moving beyond the localization of railway technology to lead global standards.
